Original Oil PaintingsBy David Keeney |
Patagonia Moonlight Oil on Canvas, 24X36 Inches It is fun to see where your eye goes when you first view this picture. The eye wants to go to the highest peak in the Mountain range however the three mountains are just about the same height. My eye goes to the second mountain from the left and then down to the water between the island and the shore. The stark landscape shows no sign of life whatever and you can almost feel the cold coming off of the canvas. It was really a lot of fun painting a "cold" scene after so many tropical paintings this summer. Ice and rock with water really allow for a lot of good color combinations.
